A bad employee is going to be a bad employee at home or in the office, the same goes for a good employee.htxag09 said:Do you really think most these same people aren't taking 2 hour lunch breaks, 30 minute starbucks runs, online and in store shopping, calling to chit chat, etc. when they are working from home?ea1060 said:This. When I worked in the office half my coworkers were taking 2 hour lunch breaks, 30 minute Starbucks runs, online shopping throughout the day, chit chatting/gossiping all day, fantasy football, pointless meetings etc. Very little work was getting done.Cyp0111 said:
I dunno, I think you confuse how little work gets done in an office.
Bad (and average) employees are significantly worse from home.
Also, it's much more difficult to build new high performing talent and build a culture when everyone is remote. Not saying it's impossible, just harder. Bringing people back to work is the "easy button" and why we're seeing more and more of it.
