I switched from lastpass to 1password and like it a bit better and it costs the same. I can't get behind. Free password manager.

How was the switch? I've got 200+ accounts, many of which I have no idea what the passwords are, just LastPass created. Did you have to migrate one account at a time? I just really enjoy the chrome extension also.

There is an import feature that seems to work well.

Don't do this, this is terrible security when there are much better, safer options. This might have been a good idea 10 years ago but it's awful now.

I think it was a joke

I hope so but I deal with end users at work so I expect the worst. We are constantly deleting documents called "passwords" from peoples drives, and they have access to a password manager.

Is there a chrome extension?

For anything important I just enable 2 factor authentication. I assume that gives me the best security but I'm sure someone has figured out how to defeat it.

SIM swap is one way if you are using SMS MFA. Say texags gets compromised and your email and password get leaked. Someone trys those creds at AT&T where you have service and you haven't enabled MFA there or they social engineer in because they have the password. Get your number on another phone. They then use that compromised password on your email or bank or whatever, SMS MFA codes go to the other phone and you never know.
SMS MFA is better than nothing, but only slightly. Using an app based MFA (Google, Duo, Authy, etc) is much better.
If you use a different complex password at every site that is even better. That is where password managers come in

Pretty sure you can self-host bitwarden if you want to.

There's a chrome extension for 1Password as well as a desktop app. The import occurs on the website I believe or maybe in the desktop app, I can't remember. It walks you through it.

So far I'd say the android app works better than LastPass did for me.
