Does anyone have experience implementing a new work flow program for manufacturing facilities.

We have a machine shop that we eventually want to buy a software package for job management. The intention is to have a central server with job information: drawings, shipping, material certs, tooling, etc. We would like to track time and job information. Maybe also have a que where employees can see the requirements for the next job/task.

Any information is appreciated!

No affiliation or experience but did a quick google search for manufacturing ERP systems.

Outside of the box from what you are looking for, but https://velocity-insight.com/ might be able to help. The managing partner, Zack Warren, is a good guy. They are O&G focused, but may be able to help you set up something tailored to your needs utilizing commercially available software.

We use Sage Businessworks.

Admittedly, we only use a fraction of it's capabilities (we only use about half the modules), but it's worked well for us. Quotes, Orders, Inventory control, etc.

There are limitations, and you cant host drawings very well on it. We have to host/distribute drawings and specs outside the system. But a maintained folder on a shared server drive is simple enough for us.

Previous job to the one I have now we used Epicor's Vantage. It was a great setup they had going on.
