Big Solana guy, here. First buy was under $4, and I still think $SOL is a buy at $175. Let's say I don't debate you on "very centralized", even though I at least semantically disagree...Quote:
Decentralization is a spectrum. I think that ETH is already 'sufficiently' decentralized. Others like AVAX/SOL are very centralized currently, but are working towards decentralization.
I own SOL too, but didn't get in as early as you. I am also very bullish on its future! I think that regardless, for a lot of use cases the extent of decentralization won't end up mattering to users.aggievaulter07 said:Big Solana guy, here. ...do you want to wait to buy until all value is already realized? Or do you want to buy knowing there is plenty of room for growth, yet?
I personally think Solana has a huge future ahead, and I'm glad I got in early.
Also, just out of curiosity, where did you hear about it at $4 that lead you to jump in? Must have been a great source of information, and also a really bold and great call by you.aggievaulter07 said:Big Solana guy, here. First buy was under $4, and I still think $SOL is a buy at $175. Have a childhood friend (Class of '07) who, with another partner, quit well-paying jobs at JP Morgan to pursue building on Solana. He told me about Solana in January 2021. I eventually made my first buy in February.Quote:

Thank you for such a thorough response! I appreciate the information. That is so cool that your friend is jumping into the space.aggievaulter07 said:Have a childhood friend (Class of '07) who, with another partner, quit well-paying jobs at JP Morgan to pursue building on Solana. They started with simply building a Validator node in early March maybe, and have since grown into a huge infrastructure play on the Solana blockchain. They were the first company that I know of that sold NFTs as sort of a "Series A" round of funding that each came with tokens representing ownership in their company. They actually had their IDO yesterday, and raised another $52-million for their expansion.
The TLDR for what they are pioneering is truly decentralized RPC service and data Storage for the whole Solana blockchain, and eventually branching out into cross-chain technologies.
EDIT: Added Twitter profile because things are moving so quickly in their world that their website is not the place for the most up-to-date picture of what they are doing...

$SHDW - Shadow Token
(I'm definitely not shilling their token. I absolutely own it (and several of their NFTs), but it's definitely a high-risk, high-reward play. I'm betting on the people more than anything else)

Speaking of Solana... I also took the liberty of claiming TAMU relevant domain names on the Solana network so nobody else could. Didn't want other people gobbling them up and trying to get a lot of money for them in the future. I'll just donate them whenever (if ever) the time is right. Hopefully the 12th Man Foundation will be taking crypto donations via the Solana network one day...

I'm still big on LITH Token as a higher risk/high reward investment.
Known team
Good whitepaper (have been hitting road map goals consistently)
Lots of direct communication and transparency
Aggravates Texags when I post about it
