Why does that matter? You think Amazon cared about profitability?

I think the Roku Pay thing is going to set them apart. Manage all your streaming accounts on one bill. Great idea.

Is revenue growth all that should matter for long term investing?
What should be the criteria for determining if debt is an investment in growth or a risk?

It can be. Back when I worked at Salesforce I had the opportunity for a one day training workshop. Basically, we simulated the founding of the company and year over year activities. My group early on decided to take the risk of massive growth and we were in last place in this game every round until the end, where we made massive gains and won.

The point was to understand how investing in growth can be so much more important than profitability. Now that I'm with a much smaller firm, it's a constant on our mind of profitability or even break even vs. investing in growth, which can increase valuation a lot more.

I can promise you if companies like Salesforce and Amazon cared about profitability instead of growth their first 10 years, they'd be no where near the dominant companies they are today.

Curious what other opinions are on if this thing will pull back for lower entry point. It seems it's shot straight to 100 since last earnings with no pull backs.

I notice a lot of stocks that pop on earnings usually pull back some before the next release but ROKU hasn't yet since Q1.
