Guess you don't work in an industry that primarily sells and buys money. In finance, M=000 and MM= 000,000

So if I say $55MM, it means 55 million. $50M equals $50,000.

The discussion has come up MANY times on this board as it relates to oil and gas. I've seen it at least 3 times.

Yeah pretty much every single oil related thread on this board (and many others) has devolved into an argument over K v M v MM at some point. Everyone thinks that the way that their profession/industry uses those symbols is The Only Way.

Also if you think that gets people riled up, try discussing frack... err frac.... errr hydraulic fracturing.
