Agree with ORAggiefan.

For me though, I'm happy to treat cars as a tool and try and focus only on the financial. I'm happy with my CPO honda civic, even if it doesnt look that cool and would never win a drag race.

I do want to take a European vacation though, and I enjoy nice dinners. You have to find a balance, because you can't take any of your money with you when you die.

These exercises assume you start at zero. If someone currently doesn't have a car or the money sitting in a savings account with which to purchase a car, would you suggest that they walk or bike until they have saved enough money to purchase a car with cash?

Sorry, been on the football board (NSD!!) so was away.

I'd suggest they figure what they want to spend, then get something half that price and save the other half up. Work your way into the car you really want.
