EArnings come out Monday. What is the guess?

It may actually not come out on Monday, I believe they have a window April 27-May 9 to report.

Analyst Estimate : -.81 PS

Based on what their peers have done with their earnings (consistantly topping estimates) I think you'll see them beat the estimate and send the stock into the mid .2s I even bought 2000 more @.17 this morning with that in mind. I'm avg. .095/pps now and thought it was well worth the risk. Good luck!

SPSN is a good long term hold.

Found a link that said earnings would be out 5/18 on AOL finance board.

Nice after hours note on SPSN winning an industry award. Popped a couple of cents in afterhours, well see if it sticks tomorrow.

I'm hearing that they have worked a deal with creditors.

Looks like our baby is going to reverse the bankruptcy filing.

I still have a suspicion that buyout talks are still very much happening, but Spansion now has the upper hand due to positive happenings recently.

If they get bought out, its not going to be at a huge bargain.

I personally do not think they will hit $3 if they come out of BK with the common in tact. I think in a previous post I said they would retrace towards the pre october 08 numbers of $1.50 to $2.00. I will stick with that. I do not think that will immeadiatly happen.

It is possible they could con someone into giving them $3.00 per share, but doubtful. I think a buy out is looking more and more unlikely at this point. I do think they will attempt to come out of BK by July.

I do still think there is a small chance they get rid of common stock. It is still a risky play.

One good example I heard of a company in BK that is coming out with the common intact is Pilgrams Pride Chicken. I know they got under .10 and are now close to $3.00. But not same industry and different circumstances.

aero... I speak with a few very successful tech traders, and these guys haven't let me down yet.

One is hell bent convinced that Spansion will come out of BK this summer and start heading north.

AFarmer95's $1.50-$2.00 prediction after coming out of BK is the most likely at this moment.

I still wouldn't rule out a buyout though. I'd put it at 30-40%.

I am by no means a stock picking guru and I don't want my excitment for this stock to make it look like I am a pumper. I was fortunate enough to buy most of my stock between .02 and .05 a share so I literally have no money at risk at this point.

That said this is still a risky stock play so I do not want people banging on me if something goes south and you loose your rent money here.

Absolutely, its risky. Anything that is feast or famine is risky.

I just think its tilting a little more towards a nice feast than a due south famine!

Afarmer - I don't see the equity being wiped out here. If the assets are priced correctly on the balance sheet, and they do not take on a lot of new debt (unlikely), they can't wipe out the equity.

The only way the equity could be wiped out is if debt was larger than asset valuation.

To answer the previous question, I think the high end share valuation after a buyout would be in the $5 range... with that said, I don't think that happens.

I think ~$2-$3 range is a more likely scenario if a buyout happens.

What is everyone thinking now that they are in the process of being delisted, at least temporarily?

I am going to hang on at least until their earnings come out. I think they will be positive or they would have released it at the same time they did this bad news....that is if they still care about the common stock.

Stock is tanking right now

My guess is their will be a new life in this thing from the OTC crowd and will start to go up. Earnings should be positive (relative)which would cause a spike. I was burned by the news, sitting on a nice unrealized profit to now having a small lose. Guess I will sit on it.

what does delisting do to a stock? I know its not on Nasdaq anymore....so where is it?

Will trade over-the-counter starting tommorrow. Main differences are obviously a different ticker symbol, as well as less stringent reporting requirements.

This thing is a huge friggin' disappointment. What a worthless stock.

I'm thinking a bunch of institutional investors had to dump because of their investment policy statement. Nothing has changed from the business standpoint and I have purchased more in the .08s.
