Anyone live here... would you recommend?

Looking at smaller towns within 2 hrs of Pheonix. I've got a young family and prefer the small town feel.

Cool town but guess that depends on what you're doing and where you have to go for work if it's not in Prescott

I like Payson a little more. Little less desert-y

We lived in North Scottsdale up until just recently and went to Prescott a handful of times. From what we saw (me, my wife, and grade-school aged kids) it seemed like a decent place.

I like Flagstaff a lot. Big enough but not too big.
