My passport expires in February but am traveling to India in late January for a couple of weeks. I needed to renew so I went to Walgreens and got my passport photo taken. I had them send it to me via email as I qualified to renew my passport online.

Submitted the form and photo on 10/15. I got an email day before yesterday that the renewal has been approved and I should receive my physical passport around 11/2.

Pretty quick turnaround.

Just FYI if anyone was wondering what the timeline looks like. I'll update when I get it. I did not pay for expedited service; I don't think you can do that if you renew online.

I had to do mine this summer and it was similar through the mail and not expedited. About 4-5 weeks from submittal to in hand.

So you cleared the No Travel list you were on?

Did I tell you about being on the "no fly list?" I don't remember. I mean, that actually happened after 9/11 for a couple of years. It was name driven and, as you TFOS know, my name is...err...unusual.

It wasn't bad. I couldn't check in online. I had to go to the counter. Then they would take my license and "go to the back" nervously before they would let me pass. Even happened when I was with my cracker wife and children.

During those work trips, my coworkers would always make me go first as they had fun watching that **** show.

Yep. That was me.

Haha, no. I'm of Indian descent and my first name is made up. So, it's very uncommon.
