Will be in Lima 4/11 through 10/11. Staying in Miraflores.

Any recommendations?

I go twice a year for a week. It's awesome. What do you like to do? Miraflores is great.

Miraflores is the nicest district in Lima. But I would also roam around Barranco.
If you are into food, there is a ton of great food, a TON.

Some things I'd do that are in Miraflores:

go surfing or take surf lessons
there is a long bike/run path both at the ocean level and at the city level with great views of the ocean/city etc. (malecon)
take a peruvian cooking class
wander the Indian markets
paragliding from the park overlooking the ocean
Visit the Huaca Pucllana Ruins

I have a hotel rec in Miraflores if needed.

Lima has the best seafood I've ever had and you won't pay a lot either. Go to Maido for seafood although there are many other great restaurants we didn't get a chance to go to.

It's hard to eat poorly in Miraflores. Food in Peru is outstanding

Better than Chile? We go to Chile all the time. This is our first time staying in Lima though. Normally we just pass through and pay the TUA. We have a health and wellness conference there the 6th - 9th.

We're both vegetarians.

I read your other post on Chile and the airfare sounds similar to Peru. Where do you recommend going?

Summer - La Serena / Coquimbo

Out fav months are Spring and Fall. Less hot for the hiking.

Cochiguaz, Pisco Elqui, Vicuña, Bahia Iglesia are all within hours. Atacama Desert too.

You can also fly into Santiago then go south for wine country and then north for Sun.

The whole country has amazing food. South is more Argentinian north is more Peruvian and seafood
