Seeking TexAgs help and recommendations for what to do. Where to go? What all to eat? Have a condo rented on North Padre here the last weekend of September. Wife and I are taking our 17 year old for her birthday with some girl friends along with our 15 year old daughter also with friends. Says the closest beach to our condo is Whitecap. Seeking any other local recommendations for what to do with a bunch of teenage girls who just want to hang, enjoy the coastal vibes and eat/shop/hang out.

Whitecap is probably the easiest beach to get to but instead of there I'd hang a left on windward and go into access road 3a which is the south packery jetty. There's a cool place near there called The SandBox with a bar and food trucks , live music, volleyball , pickleball.

If you want a more secluded beach check out padre island national seashore and malaquite beach.

As far as things to do or places to eat padre island burger company is very solid. A nicer dinner would be island time sushi or black sheep bistro. Guajillos for Mexican food.

People like to recommend snoopys or docs -I'm not a giant fan of their food but their views are pretty spectacular especially at sunset.

Treasure island has putt putt for an activity to do.

Agree that Snoopy's and Doc's food is mid but it's worth an evening for the ambiance, everything is fried so the kids won't care. You also are not too far from Port Aransas which has a lot of other fun options.

Stop at the HEB in Flour Bluff (area in CC before the causeway) to load up on groceries, there is a store on the island but it's a little limited and more expensive.

Teenage girls probably won't give an F about this but when our kids were young we would go to the Texas State Aquarium across the Harbor Bridge in downtown Corpus, the Lexington aircraft carrier is also there to tour.

I was going to recommend Texas state aquarium.

I went a few months ago after not being there since HS and it's gotten really big and cool.

But depends if you're teenage kids are into that.


Costa Sur is another good seafood restaurant on the island.

Burger Co is solid

ETA you can also go to the north side of packery and see the surfers
