My wife and some friends are doing a long weekend in Savannah. They are looking for dinner recommendations, any fun rooftop bars, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Last time we were in town we had dinner at the Fitzroy and really enjoyed it.

Perry Lane Hotel, and the JW next to the river both have great rooftop bar. Perry Lane more quiet and classy, while the JW is more party.

Food wise in no particular order, but all great

Public Kitchen and Bar
Olde Pink House
Cotton and Rye
Arco is a great spot for drink as well. sort of a jazz bar.


Starland Yard is a cool place to hang out as well. Multiple bars and restaurants all connected.

Family style.

2nd the Olde Pink House, go downstairs into the tavern as well.

what hotel are they staying at?

We stayed at the Marshall House in downtown Savannah. Haunted. Used to be a Civil War hospital. We had stuff knocked off our nightstand in the middle of the night.

Staying in an AirBNB…not sure where, but I know close enough to walk to most everything.

1. must go to PINK HOUSE!!

2. also I took my parents to Vic's on the River, at 26 East Bay Street (entrances on both Bay Street and East River Street).

The building is a five-story brick cotton warehouse designed by architect John Norris in 1859.

During the Civil War, General Sherman's officers commandeered the building, and one of the Union soldiers hand-drew a map showing the route of Sherman's march directly on the wall. It was plastered over and forgotten, then rediscovered during renovations it's now preserved behind glass in the main dining room!
