I just stayed in Baton Rouge 10 days ago

best hotel there is the WATERMARK which is a Marriott Autograph collection

ask for the room with a view of the Missisippi River

Floor 2 corner room near elevator is great.

Did you have the smoked Old Fashioned at The Gregory bar in the lobby? That's one of the best bars in town for cocktail aficionados.

One must always stop here and have the oysters.

I also second Superior Grill.

And have spent massive dollars at the Watermark bar. Do not recommend offering to buy the wedding party a drink at the bar. The tally quickly became impressive.
