Looking for suggestions for adults only trip (ideally in US) for ~5+ couples. As a group, we enjoy scenery, food, drinks (wineries, breweries, bars, etc.), shopping, golf, etc. Probably planning on getting away for 3-4 nights minimum.

For a group that size, I'd focus on destinations that are easy to navigate so no one has to worry about driving. Places like Scottsdale, Fredericksburg, Napa Valley, Charleston, and Asheville are all great options, offering a mix of excellent food, wineries, breweries, shopping, golf, and scenic views. They also have walkable areas, and it's easy to arrange private transportation for winery tours or evenings out, making it simple for everyone to enjoy themselves.

If your group is looking for something more relaxing and is open to traveling outside the U.S., an all-inclusive resort or a cruise can be a fantastic option. Everything is taken care of, making it easy for everyone to spend time together without worrying about planning the details.

Pebble Beach

Good recommendations already! I have one couple that books a long weekend in Pebble Beach every year so I will second that suggestion.

In addition to what's been shared so far:

- Finger Lakes: Great wineries & food, lake views, and a super relaxed atmosphere, this would be hard to beat.

- Traverse City: Under rated in my opinion, it checks the box on everything you're looking for!

- Walla Walla: Amazing wine country without the Napa crowds. Great tasting rooms, food, and a fun downtown for shopping.

- Charleston + Kiawah Island: Awesome restaurants, shopping, nightlife, beaches, and some of the best golf in the country.

- Whitefish: I personally love mountain scenery and have never had a bad experience in Montana. Whitefish has breweries, good food, golf, amazing fishing if that's your thing, and easy access to Glacier National Park.

Napa.

Good time of the year to be in Moab UT. Lots of things to do there, such as two National Parks, state parks, and at least one golf course.

Traverse City and Whitefish are two of my favorites but mid October is not when I'd visit either.

Group likes the idea of Charleston thus far. So now… where to stay, things to do, restaurants, etc. Could ge anywhere from 5-8 couples.

- Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon (military prison with revolutionary war history)
- Cistern at College of Charleston (for the ladies if they want to see where the notebook was filmed)

Know nothing about their wineries or golf but looks like they have them. Probably a fantastic time weather wise for the area.

Maybe combine it with a day or two in Scottsdale.

If yall are considering Charleston, I'd suggest pivoting to Savannah instead, esp since yall are wanting to golf. With Hilton Head being right there the entire group could go to the island and yall could golf while the women hung out and shopped on the island. Savannah also has great restaurants, history, etc much like Charleston. A small, but noteworthy thing also worth mentioning is you can walk around Savannah with an open container. With a large group of couples to me that is of importance, especially when strolling the shops, bars ,etc.

Charleston is great, but it is a tad bit more spread out especially when factoring in the golf (esp Kiawah) and the amount of couples. It makes logistics a little tougher, which is why I feel Savannah may fit the group better with everything being a tad more centrally located.
