Flying from Shreveport to Charleston with a layover in Atlanta. Is an hour between flights enough time or should we book a flight with a longer layover? TIA

It's probably too late but I'm going to be the contrarian on this topic. I work for an airlines and Atlanta is notorious for afternoon summer thunderstorms. One lightening strike will shut the ramp down causing a headache of delays.

Yes if everything is working normally, an hour SHOULD be enough time (unless you're in the back of the plane and land in T and have to go to F. )

I would err on the side of more time in Atlanta vs less. I've been in a plane where we're waiting for a free terminal on the tarmac for an extra 10 minutes or even just being slowed down by the tower for flow can cause a small delay which makes your connection so much h more stressful.

Good point.
Ive only flown once through ATL, but 2 yrs ago I flew a lot connecting out of CLT.
1ish hr is fine.... until those summer storms and you can only hope the connection is also delayed.

I'd aim for 2 hours... and could get work/emails done in the time or just people watch.
