Anyone have any recommendations for "on the beach" or balcony ocean view around mustang island?

I think from College Station - South Padre was like an 7 hour drive but I gotta say -- been like 40 years since I made that trip!

Any helpful advice would be welcome -- looking for a place without too many stairs and a view....

I know - more helpful if I had planned way ahead but at 84 - sometimes - she just gets a "calling to the beach"

That's why I moved to Galveston. When I get a "calling" it's only a few blocks walk from my house.

Might try Mustang Towers - a few miles outside Port A, 15 or 16 floors with an elevator so no stairs, except where the boardwalk opens up to the beach. We stay on 10th floor - great view of the beach. Closer to the beach than most other buildings.
