Awesome!

Two weeks ago, there were a bunch of African guys on my flight from DFW - IAH. I don't know if they were here for the World Cup, or if The Metroplex has replaced Minnesota as the preferred destination for Africans.

We're apparently redirecting them to Houston to unite with the Katrina Fugees

These were American kids acting third world. They eventually got on the plane to Lafayette, LA. College age kids, didn't seem to be a sports team.

I get it, sometimes you are exhausted and want to sleep in the airport. The third world part is that they sprawled across 3-5 seats in a crowded waiting area. Then the people on the floor were sleeping in front of whole rows of seats, preventing people from sitting in those chairs, too

Sleep on the floor if you have to, but move out of traffic

Having worked in Alabama the past two weeks and the Florida Panhandle a couple months ago, I can definitely say that regional commuter flights in "The South" have a different clientele than what you get on a 737 or bigger.

Never slept on the floor at an airport, but if I needed to, it would be far away from the masses. In this day and age, I'd be scared to be sleeping while people tried to rob me.

Anytime I have to take a regional to a small town, I aim for the earliest flight possible for this reason.
Mostly other business people (and less chance of the flight being delayed or cancelled)
