Anyone have suggestions/recommendations on a transportation company to get eight people from Cancun to Playa del Carmen?

Uff. Hopefully you arent staying in Playa hoping to go to the beach. The sargassum is the worst ive ever seen it.

I've used USA transfers. Pro tip when you exit the airport and someone asks who you are looking for, they're actually there to help. All their friends work there and they are just trying to move things along.

We used Amstar and had a great experience.

Easy to find. Comfortable van. Plus, there was an Amstar desk at the resort to coordinate departure.

I go to Playa a couple times a year. If you are you going SCUBA diving and need a divemaster in Playa for it, I can give you a connection, and he'll generally just come pick you up at the airport even - for a price (reasonable). Not sure what your travel plans include though. Otherwise, I can give you a small mom & pop I've used, for around $75.

So I had booked with Canada a while back. Actually for a Texager from his hotel to Xcaret (they were cheaper than USA).

There was a very alarming post in a very large group that I'm in talking about how Canada Transfers was being very non-responsive and not picking people up, etc. I don't know if it's gotten better but luckily I canceled it and was able to get the client a refund and we booked a different service.
