As I mentioned, we had a nice day in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, then found out my mother in law had passed away in the middle of the night back home. So I immediately booked a flight out of Bozeman (I had my reasons) and we hit the road to Bozeman to fly home. We did have a little bit of wiggle room time-wise though, and as we drove by the Glacier entrance, we made a quick detour to Wild Goose Island Lookout as our only stop in the park.
I'm disappointed that we didn't get to do our full itinerary, but I'm glad we made that stop. My wife did find some comfort in the view there.
After that, we turned around to continue the drive to Bozeman and caught this near the park entrance.
