Anyone checked a loaded camp trunk as a checked bag and paid the oversized fee? Mind telling me what it cost and if you have any issues? TIA.

Whats the weight? Dimensions? Over 100lbs and it can't be checked. If it's less than 62 combined inches and between 50-75 lbs it's $100 and 75.1 - 100 its $125. If it's over 62 inches but under 80 inches (L+W+H) its $125 flat.
If its over 80 inches or 100 lbs, it won't be accepted.

Responded too quick.
I have done this with no issue, and you will get charged as others stated if you exceed the standard. But for the box itself they will not have an issue.

I worry about it opening during handing and use a primary straps and zip ties as secondary. SW was cool with zip ties as long as I did not cut flush… safety concern for handlers.
