Real easy to head over to Park City or Deer Valley.
The High West Distillery was a great experience for us. Make a reservation and go out to the actual distillery and tasting room. It's a beautiful place with a great view, food, and good enough spirits. We went out for a tour and lunch and never made it to the tour. We were the only ones at the restaurant that afternoon and the chef and tour guide ended up giving us a tasting menu and flight of spirits for free on the patio while we just sat around and talked.
Watching the olympic hopefuls make runs down the irrigated ski jumps into the pool was entertaining. As well as wondering around the museum. It used to be free and you could grab a beer by the ski jump pool while pretending to be a judge.
We loved Slackwater Pizza and Wasatch Brew Pub -- great food and so many local beers.
And I will second High West Distillery in Wanship - make reservations and it's about a 30-45 minute drive but well worth it. The views are incredible and the food/drinks were outstanding.

Slack water is great. Lake effect for fancy cocktails. There is a cool block on Main St with a few mice bars/restaurants: white horse, whiskey street, london belle, bodega. Edison Alley behind Copper Onion has a few cool spots. Some cool distilleries in the Valley: beehive and dented brick. For nice dining: HSL is one of my favorites too. SLC is great, and would second a trip to High West, the actual distillery up by Wanship past PC is a cool experience.
