Taking the wife to Cancun for two nights to get some sun and a break from work. Needs to be in the hotel district so we're not traveling across the Yucatan for travel days. Adults only. Looking for nice but fun hotel. We're 38 and 37 but like a good time (not that good of a time .

I'm thinking Secrets Riveria or Hyatt but open to suggestions. Thanks!

We are at Secrets Maroma Beach now and the staff and food have all been excellent! We would highly recommend this location.

We are heading to Secrets Akumal today and looking forward to seeing a different property.

We did Excellence many years ago and really enjoyed it as well. Very cool property and rooms

I stayed at Secrets Riviera Beach 3 weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed it but the water is very murky and we had seaweed.

Love Secrets Maroma but I feel it's far for a 2 night stay.

Cancun hotel zone - Le Blanc, Sun Palace (both of these may be too quiet), Hyatt Zilara.

Thinking Hyatt Zilara. Looks just right up our alley. Thanks JMAC!

I like the Atelier Playa Mujeres. It's about 40 minutes from tge airport and for two nights it would be a good place to stay.

Atelier and Excellence Playa Mujeres would both be great for 2-night stay. Hyatt Zilara too!

Just returned from El Dorado Seaside and Secrets Maroma and both were great but definitely too far from the airport for a 2 night stay.

I'll also throw out Excellence Riviera Cancun and Haven - both close to airport and great for adults only all-inclusive for 2 nights.

Excellence Playa Mujeres.

Get the two ocean front story terrace with plunge pool. In your reservation ask for 'a privacy, 4th floor location' and they'll put you up in a nice one. You don't want to pay all that money at the get the 2 story option by the pool.

I loved every minute of being there. Was cool to see the island at night and all the boats coming in and out throughout the day.

we did Hyatt ziva, they have an adults only tower with pool and bar if you really want to stay away from kids. Hot tub on patio
It's at the north tip of the island so they have beaches and pools on two sides.

Just got back from 3 nights at Hyatt Zilara with my wife for our anniversary.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I was already looking to book another trip while at Margaritaville in the airport getting ready to leave.

The hotel is beautiful, the food and drinks are as good as you could possibly ask for at an All Inclusive, and they treat you like royalty.

If you plan on eating at Asiana at the hibachi grill, make reservations as soon as you are checked in. Pretty solid meal for AI.

Maria Marie was also damn good. (Make sure to order the shrimp and the flank steak.)

The buffet is smaller than I expected, but lots of fresh seafood and more than enough to choose from.

If you are looking for a party, this place ain't it. It super chill, laid back, and not as crowded as you would think. (We went to the bars down the strip for one night and it was enough for us.)

Can't wait to go back.

I would preschedule your transfers. I use USA Transfers for all my clients as well as personal.

ask the resort first. When we did Hyatt ziva, transfers were included.
We are doing Westin lagnumar in a few weeks and it's included again.

Both of these trips were 4 nights; there may be a min stay to get this benefit.

We used Mexico Travel Solutions for our transfers as it was part of the package we purchased. Clean van, nice drivers, no additional passengers. Nothing luxurious, but more than adequate.
