Wife wants to do quick 2-3 night beach trip, us only, kids staying with grandparents. Condo we have used for a decade on SPI was sold and don't really want to travel that far. Looking at Corpus or Port Aransas.

Looking for something on the beach or close enough that walk is reasonable. Clean. Decent pool/pool area.

Any recommendations are appreciated. Seems kind of slim pickens.

Why not look on VRBO or ABNB?

That will be the best bet for on or close to the beach. I know you said hotel, but Ive done it once and since always got a rental to make it easy.

Just stayed at the trout street condos #3, nice setup, comes with a golf cart. Close to all the restaurants. Only drawback was if you like cooking on your own that was very limited. Perfect for a couple of nights and only 2 guests.

Cinnamon Shore is nice but will be a lot of families

Palmilla looks similar but never stayed there

What dates are you looking for? My condo is booked through July but I can check with my buddy to see what he has...

If the beach is your goal, stay in port a or the island not corpus downtown

I'd check all of the condos such as
The Dunes
Seagull
Sandpiper
And many others

VRBO is another option for homes
Cinnamon shores
Palmilla
Plus tons of independent ones in port a

Book restaurant reservations extremely early. Most will not do takeout right now as they are so busy

We like Seagull/Sandpiper. Get a higher floor if you want to use the balcony.

N Padre is nice. Less touristy than Port A.

Sea Shell Village in Port Aransas is where we always stay. It may be tight to get in this late in the game, but you can try.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper last year. We are trying the Mayan Princess this time. We also rented a house in Island Park Estates for my wife's 40th which was really awesome!!

Sand Castle now open. Staying there next week. Walking distance is Beachgate.

Not sure on WiFi. Stayed at both 20 plus years. Either is a good choice. Sand Castle little more upscale. Beachgate is easier walk.

When did that change, vehicles have been allowed in front of IH in the past; the beach there has gotten pretty thin in recent years so maybe that would be a reason to ban.

We are going to be down the seawall at Gulfstream this weekend.

We've been going there for 15 years. Vehicles aren't allowed on their beach. They have blockades up. Don't have to worry about the kids getting ran over.

Not when I went last August. You could drive thru past the holiday inn.
