Looking to book a trip to Colorado this summer for 5-7 days for our first post COVID trip with another couple. Open to hotels or condos (plan to eat out most meals). Like nice places but doesn't need to be luxurious, no specific budget. Want to be reasonably close to good restaurants and bars. Plan on doing some easy to moderate hiking, biking and maybe horseback riding. Know everything will be crowded this summer and don't want to be in the middle of crazy central but not isolated either. Totally flexible on dates for the summer so it has made it hard to figure out which area to concentrate on. Would really like a nice outdoor area with a view (balcony, patio or common area) to relax with an adult beverage or two after a day exploring. Being near a river/stream/lake would be a plus. Probably flying into Denver and renting a car if that matters. Have fallen down the rabbit hole researching online and need help!
