I haven't been impressed with the "high end" ones I've been to and am looking for suggestions for upcoming trip.

Non high end?
Cochon Butcher near the WW2 museum
Deanie's for BBQ shrimp
Camilla Grill for brunch/ breakfast
Port of Call for burgers
Elizabeth's for breakfast
Mother's for lunch
Central Grocery for muffalatta
Caf Du Monde for people watching
It looks like I've gotten few things right - my list is a lot like this one.
Been to Mr. B's, Herbsaint, and CP. I didn't dislike any of them per se, I just wasn't blown away either. Likely a case of having overblown expectations.BMX Bandit said:

Went to Dragos a couple weeks ago. Table was dirty when they seated us, service was extremely slow, had finished all our other food before the chargrilled oysters arrived, chargrilled oysters were meh, and beer is $7 a bottle. We'll never go back.
