I've seen all the stuff that Trip Advisor suggests to do but I was curious if there were other activities that were lesser known. Looking for anything (activity/food/drink) that locals know and tourists don't.

Also, never been to a professional hockey game. Is it worth buying tix to watch the Canucks?

when we were there, the coolest thing we did was take a dinner train. It went through the mountains - beautiful scenery and good food.

I have no idea if they still do that, or if it is on the trip advisor list, but we loved it.

It's been many many years since I've been to Vancouver. That said...I was blown away by the size of the cedars in Stanley Park.

Vancouver is a great city...you'll have a blast.
