Wanted to plan a getaway for wife and I. Went to school in Alpine a couple years before transferring to Aggieland but didn't know much about Big Bend places to stay or things to do for a couple nights-any places you would recommend? We like hiking and trails. It will be in late March FWIW

They've got several restaurants in the resort and it's only a short 10-15 drive to Big Bed. If you like golf, this course is amazing. You can even just rent a cart to drive the course.

Anybody have any thoughts on staying in Presidio? I've never been to Big Bend, will be going alone, but found a nice, affordable place there. Am I at a good spot to easily drive to good places to hike about at?

Incorrect. It's 45+ minutes to the basin or Santa Elena from there. It's close to the state Park though.
