Excellent pics! I just wanted to start a thread where people could come share their favorite pics and share some stories, not start a photography contest. (Although bthogigem has some really nice shots!) I'm eventually going to post some from my iphone and old work camera. You've definitely been to a few places on my bucket list, have been to South Africa as well and loved it. Excellent shot in Santorini, looks amazing.

I'm really just an amateur when it comes to photography. My parents are really into it / semi-professional and bought me a Nikon D7100 that I love to play with. Taken it on the past couple of trips to Europe and it's been a lot of fun. I use Photoshop elements to edit them, very basic stuff.

Sadly I can't really speak much to Montenegro as it was just a partial day stop on a Meditteranean cruise and we didn't explore much that day. The view on the boat navigating the 17 (?) miles inland to Montenegro were awesome! Santorini has been one of our absolute favorites.

Hong Kong, Shanghai, Thailand, etc. have moved up to near the top of the list. Can you guys recommend any of those areas over the others if we were going to do an Asia-ish area trip?

Was in Shanghai for about 6 months, fun place to party/live/work. But if you're going to just be passing through China/Asia for the touristy stuff head up to Beijing. Decent party scene plus all the tourist stuff, Great Wall Forbidden City, Tiananmen square, etc. I'll post a few pics from my trip there as well.

My Asia travels are fairly limited (S Korea and China) so unfortunately I can't speak to much outside of that.

1000 Miles west of Kodiak. We went on a self guided hunting trip. Pretty crazy place with lots of military history. The US navy walked away from the place in the 90s and left a lot of stuff exactly as it was sitting. Offices full of furniture, file cabinets full of files, parking lots full of trucks, etc. What wasn't abandoned was barged out in to the bay and rolled in to the water. When a tree falls in the woods type of thing. Very spooky at times now days. You drive around in the middle of the roads, don't stop at stop signs, and it had a very "I am legend" movie feel to it in places.

Lots of WWII history as well. On nearby Atka there is a B-24 Liberator sitting just as it crashed in 1942.

Not my picture-

Just keep going east from Atlanta. Hopefully, your car can travel over water, and you may eventually hit it.
