I've flown to/through Europe a lot but I realized today that every one of those flights has been from or to a place outside of Europe. Today I had my first intra-Europe flight. I was booked in Business class because of company policy. I had an 8 hour flight from the US to Amsterdam, which was great as usual but I had to get some work done on the plane so I didn't sleep much...I was planning to sleep on my 4 hour connecting flight so I would be a little refreshed because I was going from the airport directly to a meeting.
Intra-Europe business class is the exact same thing as economy except they guarantee you that there will be no one in the middle seat. In fact, they have a moveable divider that the slide back and forth depending on how many people book business class on the flight. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. Apparently this is the same across all European airlines.
So, a word of caution...don't spend your $ on intra-Europe "business class". It is a complete waste of money.
