My wife and I are looking at taking a vacation to an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean this year. So I'm looking to hear about your favorite AI's to visit.

We stayed at Sandal's Negril 2 years ago, and loved it. Last year we stayed at the Iberostar in the DR and thought it was just ok. Interested to try somewhere new this year, and would like some input.

Looking to keep the trip under $4K or so, for 4 nights.

So I'm assuming at ~$16 a drink, you're saying the beverage plan is worth it?

My wife and I stayed at Sugar Beach in Saint Lucia. Beautiful location between 2 mountains with exclusive beach access. We didn't do the all inclusive and managed about $3K. Here is the contact info for the travel agent we used (good family friend). She goes down there a lot and sends a lot of people there so she gets great deals. Good luck!

Went to Peter Island in Fall of 2012.

Got the meal plan but had to pay for the liquor...was pricy but had a blast.

3k for how long of a a stay?

ARA - does your friend have deals with Secrets resorts? Looking at going in June for the anniversary.

Have a group of friends that did Secrets Maroma as mentioned above (Riveria Maya) last year and they all raved about it. A couple in our group was getting married and they all loved it. My wife and I (and whoever can make it) are headed that way in June to celebrate our 10th anniversary we had in December. We booked at Secrets Silversands just to mix it up, also Riveria Maya. We booked a slightly upgraded room and it's under your budget. Good luck.
