How long do you want to ignore this user?
Headed to Florida to check out the keys at the very end of March with another couple. We are going to fly into Fort Lauderdale and drive down. I have always wanted to do this drive, obviously in an open air vehicle. I am currently looking into car rentals. I am not finding jeep wranglers to rent with any of the major companies, and the convertibles they carry are two door models with small back seats. I'm not sure the other couple will fit in the back seat! I found one company, tons of fun, that will rent me a 4 door wrangler for $120 x day with a $150 charge for pickup/delivery at FLL. Anybody have any ideas on vehicles I could look into, companies that might have what I need, general suggestions, or ways to save a few bucks on this?

Don't rent a jeep? I know new jeeps are better but try still suck on road trips. Even if you get whatever they call the 4 door version I doubt you can possibly get 4 people's luggage in it. Rent two convertibl mustangs

My wife and I are doing the same thing this summer...i'd be interested if you find anything. I think we're leaning towards just renting a convertible through the major companies though.

Bought a 4 door Jeep in September. You shouldn't have any problem fitting luggage for 4 in the vehicle. If you're going too off maybe plan on getting some straps for extra security while driving just in case, but it's more spacious in the cargo area than you'd think.

Where you would more likely run into problems would be passenger legroom in the back. If you've got a pair that doesn't need a ton of room you should be just fine. Actually sounds like a blast to me.
