So I'm heading to Beaver Creek on Wednesday and the temps are projected to be high 40's. What will the boarding conditions be at that temp and what clothing is preferred? I'm thinking just a base layer, ski pants, and jacket shell.
Can't speak specifically to BC, but I think most mountains will be pretty slushy after lunch with those temps. Usually only bad at the base, though. I would probably go with a good base layer top and bottom. Then your shell on bottom and a middle layer plus she'll on top.
I live right by Beaver Creek and it's supposed to snow everyday this week. The temps you saw are at the base and local forecasts are saying a little lower. If the current forecasts hold you should have a powder day Wednesday.
I've been wearing about what you said except no base layer on top with a nice coat and been fine.
