I have been to Excellence Punta Cana and it was amazing.

The only negative is the beach isn't as nice as other resorts in Punta Cana more south towards the airport. Those beaches will have whiter sand with clearer water. At Excellence the beach was really choppy with yellow sand.

Still a very nice beach and the best service I have ever received.

Check out the El Dorado Royale Casitas. Adults only and pretty private considering size of the entire resort. Great food and all-inclusive. We went for our 3rd year in a row this year and decided to buy a membership. I can say we have only stayed in the Casitas though due to the privacy and treatment you get. We have recommended to many other couples as well and always received positive feedback.
