Looking to rent out a large house near Bourbon Street for a buddy's bachelor party. Would be from around JAN 30 -> FEB 3 or so (Super Bowl weekend).

Anyone have any good suggestions/leads? 10-15 people, so looking for something big... Cost isn't too much of an issue as it will be divided up.

We stayed at this place for a Bachelor Party last October. The listing below is kind of confusing because the owner uses this one VRBO listing for two properties located on the same lot.

Each property has two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and sleep 8-10 people. The larger is about 1800Sf and the smaller is about 1500 SF. You can rent both for about $900 a night. The location is the corner of Beinville at Burgundy which is in the French Quarter and about a two block walk to the heart of Bourbon Street.

I have been to three bachelor parties in New Orleans and this was the best by far. Location is great, corner store about two blocks away to buy beer, nice courtyard to have a few beers in while evryone is getting ready to go out for the night, 4 on-site parking spots which is very rare in the French Quarter, and a keycode system to get onto the property (much better than having two keys for 15 people).

Thanks for the suggestion -- looks like one of the two condos is booked the weekend I need it and with 13 people we'd need them both.

Anyone else have some suggestions?

Are you married to the idea of a rental house? I've planned one epic party and been to my own bachelor party in NOLA and booked hotels each time.

We were all between 21-27 for the parties, with 12 and 10 men attending, respectively. The first we booked 4 rooms, 2 queens each with a cot. The second we had 3 rooms with cots, and I bunked with a groomsman, because I've crashed with the damned guy a bunch of times and he always spoons me in the middle of the night and I feel like home.

That aside....

It's not too difficult to operate a party from hotel rooms, and you'll save money.

And make sure to get front row at the Penthouse club (negotiate with the manager). You'll have to spend about a grand an hour to keep your spots, but good things happen there, memorable things.

This may be an option for you guys. We were too cheap to pony up.

There just arent many options within walking distance of the french quarter for a large group. Its either hotel rooms or houses in the garden district.

I'm personally not, and my brother-in-law also suggested that going to the hotel route is a lot more convenient for everyone, but my buddy says thats what he wants.

My wife stayed here for a bachelorette party. Said it was awesome/creepy/very NOLA. Huge place. Half a block from Bourbon Street.

I think there was about 15 of them staying there. Everyone had a bed.

LOL, they have a base price, a higher price for bachelorette parties, and a much higher price for bachelor parties.

They know the risk and the market well.

I have been to multiple bachelor parties in NOLA. We have always stayed at the Ambassador hotel on Tchoupitoulas St. It is within walking distance (10 minute) to Bourbon st and it is on a major cab route so it is easy to get to other parts of the city. Also, it is 1 block from mother's cafe which is great for hangovers in the morning

+100 for mother's, if you don't mind standing in line.
