I love Vegas and want to go again, but probably can't justify another guy trip. So I want to take the wifey, but she has no interest in gambling, shows, staying up late, or seeing Hoover Dam.

What else can I sell her on?

Shopping.

Believe it or not, she's not much of a shopper. But I will at least add that to the presentation.

Have you thought about teaching her how to play some of the card games at the casinos? I wasn't too interested in gambling either because the only thing I knew was how to play the slots. My husband helped me to learn black jack and now I enjoy gambling.

I'll definitely see if I can drum up some interest by doing that... It's gonna be tough though because she sees gambling as stupid, like you're just throwing away perfectly good money. I see it as entertainment, with a bonus that you might even make money on it.

Thanks for the ideas though, keep them coming!

Try using 1 Timothy 2:11-12. Then be prepared to sleep on the couch that night/week/month.

I think I used that one up by going hunting 5 out of the last 6 weekends. I came home to a Bible burning bonfire. Not pretty.

Drug her and take her, then once shes there, she may like it.

Or sell the spa stuff to her....

have you considered a new wife?

that one sounds broken.

Nah, the wifey is great. Our interests just don't happen to line up when it comes to gambling until 6 in the morning.

But that's why I was hoping someone with lots of Vegas experience could throw out some lesser-known specifics that I could present to her.

Who wouldn't like Hoover Dam??

If you're only interested in Vegas for the gambling, why don't you just go to Shreveport?

pay top dollar for a nice pad, and tell her about all the crazy, vegas sex you are going to have.

if she doesn't go for that, then tell her you're going, either with her or the guys, her choice.

Ya...Fashion Mall...killer...and the Forum Shops...again killer. And most of the really good casinos have some great shopping...love the Ventian shopping places...waaay cool. Hell, they have a whole floor that's nothing but handbag stores. If she don't get off to that and she don't like any of the other stuff Vegas has...time for a trade in.

Oh, one of the best things I ever did was the Helo trip to Hoover and Grand Canyon, with Champaign lunch....then a night time return flight down the Strip...much fun.
And if she likes chololate...who doesn't...worlds largest M&M's store...4 stories of M&M's...or take in Ethel M's chacolate factory. Man, if you can't find something you like in Vegas...they don't make it.

maybe even try to get her to bring one of her friends/her husband, that way she can do things with her while you gamble/drink/strip clubs

Moose- She's plenty of fun, just doesn't like a few of the key things that Vegas involves. It doesn't mean she's defective.

Does she like to drink and/or people watch?

That's what I do in Vegas and there is absolutely no place better.

My gf isn't a gambler, partier, etc...

We're going to Vegas next week. The main thing she is looking forward to is seeing the famous sites (fountains, etc). She's also looking forward to some of the shows. There are a variety, surely y'all can find something she likes (Love, Ka, Price Is Right, David Copperfield). I like to go-go-go, my gf doesn't as much, so kicking it by the pool may be something else she enjoys just to relax. And of course, she'll be doing some shopping and just checking out the cool themed shops.

If she can't find something she likes in this town then she is defective.

If she likes the outdoors, plenty to do in that regard. Mt Charleston has snow, Red Rock has great hikes, Valley of Fire you can scout for ancient petroglyphs.

If she likes to eat (hope so) then this is one of the top dining cities in the World. If she has a favorite kind of food, there are no shortage of suggestions on this forum already or we can help.

If she likes to shop, very few places that are better.

People watch? The only place where you can catch a newlywed bride crying at a slot machine at 3 in the morning still in her wedding dress.

There has to be a show or shows she would enjoy. Comedy, opera, cirque, magicians, music...

More and more people are coming to Vegas that don't spend a dime on gambling, but still have a great time.

There are some fantastic deals right now to be had in Vegas. Tons of locals specials at the casinos right now. Not sure how you can get around it, but perhaps call up, say you are considering moving to Vegas and wondered if you could get the locals rate to come check it out?

Hey, I'm pretty sure most guys would love a wife who doesn't blow a ton of money shopping.

Have you looked up the Vegas public library?

No, I like to do fun and interesting stuff, like snow boarding and mountain biking and looking at historic European cities and going to vineyards rather than spending time in the morass of the good ol US of A and overloading my brain with neon and slot machines.

So what does she like to do then? I think that will help find some activities for her.

Mrs.96, snowboarding within an hour of the strip at Mt. Charleston, even better at Brianhead about 2 hours away. Mountain biking in Red Rock, around Lake Mead, or tons of other spots within an hour. Can't do authentic European cities, but the Venetian might make you think twice after a few glasses of wine. The art collections at Bellagio, Wynn, and Venetian are pretty impressive. Wineries are tough, but check out the wine fairies at Auriole at Mandalay Bay, or see bottles found in Thomas Jefferson's collection at the wine bar at Rio.

I can totally understand getting burnt out on the lights/sounds of the casino floor, but lots more in this town for those that look.

Get a room with a view at Wynn, Bellagio, or Palazzo & book a couples massage. Then have champagne and chocolate covered strawberries brought to your room at sunset.

If that doesn't appeal to her, take her to watch the fountains at Bellagio. If she's a chocolate fan, take her to the chocolate fountain at Bellagio, or dine on the patio at Olives or Mon Ami Gabi.

I'm not much of a shopper either, but I enjoy window shopping at the Forum Shops. Might have something to do with the huge alcohol consumption &/or people watching though.

As far as orgasmic food experiences go...the best meals I've ever had in Las Vegas were at Craftsteak and Rosemary's.

She may enjoy watching the cutie pie bartenders at Carnival Court.

Ah, Mrs96 answered my question before I asked it.

I'll second the biking at Red Rock (or a little further down at Blue Diamond). Blue Diamond kicked my butt.

To answer those that asked, she likes outdoors, she likes being active (running, biking, hiking, etc... unfortunately I'm not into those so much, but I could probably suck it up), exercising, she does like chocolate (so thanks for those good ideas), and like all humans she enjoys good food. And it's not like she hates shopping (she is a woman after all), she just is careful with money, which I appreciate. (and for the person who said I probably blow a lot of money gambling, I don't. $200 max but I've never lost it all, and I've only gone 4 times in my whole life)

So anyway, I think this has been helpful. Feel free to still add on.

Think we have most of those covered.

exercising,

Sounds crazy, but there are pole dancing lessons out there. Might be a little different but probably very very good exercise.

Inside the Bellagio by the conservatory is a fantastic place with a 2-story fudge fountain.

There are plenty of outlet malls and regular malls around here too, in addition to the excess of the Forum Shops.

Last time that $200 turned into a profit of $500.

We all have budgets.

I would bet I have just as much fun with my $200 at the $5 tables as the retarded frat boy who plays with and loses $3k.
