you can rent most the the shows on DVD just to see what you like. I watched an hour and a half show from the Blue Man Group last night and if I was at the show, I would have left.

Really Piag? I saw The Blue Man Group in the Fall of 06 in Vegas and really enjoyed the show.

Then again, those of us in our group that wanted to go all have backgrounds in music. Those who didn't had no desire to even go see the show - so maybe that makes a difference.

don't know much about them. I watched the show on TV last night and to me all it was, was the three guys banging on drums and "things" with a big band behind them. To me it felt like a concert with very little music.

There "concert" show is different than their Vegas Stage show...or it was. I saw the "Concert" show on TV also and it wasn't impressive. Their Vegas show is.

Blue Man Group is very entertaining. O is in a totally different league though.

If you like O, check out La Reve at the Wynn. Also water themed, however it follows some form of a storyline throughout, unlike O.

AgInLV... My husband and I will be in Vegas from July 15-18th. Is there a way we could get coupons for any of the Cirque shows?

Kristin/Hince, doubtful. The LOVE coupon was a limited time deal for MGM employees and friends. For people that live here there are always great local discounts and websites that offer deals. Problem is you have to have a NV drivers license for most of them.

We belong to a website that has a small annual fee, and offers tickets as they come available for free after that. The shows release tickets to them so the auditoriums stay full, and then they have a shot at getting some cash out of us when we go to the casino to see the show. We go to a show every couple weeks with that.

If you send me a PM about a week ahead of your trip, I'll check around and see if there are any deals out there.

Four of us went ans saw KA recently, and we were very disappointed. After the show we all agreed that we were trying to stay awake during the show, and that we were all thinking in our heads that we could be doing something much better with our time. I left there wanting my $$$ back.

Oh..Jersey Boys is there now. I'd go see that myself.

KA kinda sucks.

Wow, saw KA and loved it. The stage itself is quite a show. I would still put it behind O, but a very nice show. Almost everyone I have talked to about it really enjoyed it.

Saw Jersey Boys a couple weeks ago. Starts out pretty slow, but picked up towards the end. You must like the 4 Seasons type music to truly enjoy it.

The Rib went to Bette Midler with a gf and really liked it. Ladies coming to LV might consider checking that one out. Not a cheap ticket, but evidently she still has it.

Our favorite "free" show is at the Parasol Down Bar at the Wynn. It starts at dark. Sit outside, have some cocktails, and watch the freaky stuff Wynn throws up on the giant stone waterfall. Is going to be warm now even after dark, but still a great place to hang out prior to some dinner or some gaming at the Wynn.

AginLV...I agree on all counts.

I cant speak for the other cirque du soleil shows but avoid Ka like your psycho ex gf/bf...a real yawner...that was the most expensive nap i ever took...

conversely, spend ur time and money on blue man group...highly entertaining...you wont be disappointed.

i loved Ka.

and would rather be shot in the neck than have to sit through blue man again.

Aside from the stage itself, I reiterate the snooziness of KA.

Best show you can watch for free and laugh...grab some beer from the waitresses and watch the high rollers blow ridiculous amounts of money!

Wayne Brady's show is hilarious. The first 3/4 of the show he does improv, making up songs and doing different skits. That part was awesome and had me laughing the entire time. The last 1/4 he sings and dances which he is really good at, but not really my thing.

Lance Burton? Worth $75, when Copperfield is $90?

If we're going to do "O" one night, was looking for something totally different, off the wall.

Penn and Teller? Saw Amazing Jonathon last time. It was ok.

Copperfield was worth every penny.

TP Ag: If you're a fan of Penn and Teller going in, you'll probably have a good time. I saw them last year and enjoyed it.

maid of honor in my cousin's wedding last weekend is a backup singer for bette midler in vegas.

I got picked from the audience at a Copperfield show and still have no idea how he did the trick I participated in.

I know they use plastic cars for their "car appear from nowhere" tricks, but everything was still pretty freaking amazing.

btho...really? Plastic car? That was the one that I really couldn't figure out. I sat with my right arm on the stage and just couldn't figure the thing out, but "plastic makes all things clear now.
For heavens sake...I hope you didn't catch the "pickle"...or has he stopped doing that since it was reveled that it was how he picked girls out to come back stage and be auditioned to aaahhh..."date him".
Still a great show...possibly the best of magic today.

I really enjoyed Love.

I saw O and P&T in June.

O was outstanding. I'd go again...just a surreal experience.

P&T were very good and entertaining, but I'd need to see some other shows before going again. I'm not down on them, it was great, just wouldn't see it again quickly.
