He included the stranded motorist that needed the tow truck. This is crap that will lead to him getting money. Is it that guy's fault that Hancock was drunk, speeding and talking on the phone.

Have a Hooteriffic Day!!

Some people are like Slinkies...

Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

He should sue himself for being a bad father.

a mourning family looking for relief in the wrong manner.....very sad. I feel for them but this isn't the way for them to handle their sorrow.

quote:
The lawsuit claimed Tolar was negligent in allowing his vehicle to reach the point where it stalled on the highway, and for failing to move it out of the way of oncoming traffic. A police report said the car became stalled when it spun out after being cut off by another vehicle.

Police said Hargrove noticed the stalled vehicle and stopped to help. The report said he told officers he was there five to seven minutes before his truck was hit by Hancock's SUV. But Kantack said the tow truck may have been there up to 15 minutes, yet failed to get the stalled vehicle out of the way.

It's only out of sheer luck that the other 500 cars that passed by the stalled car and tow truck before Hancock got there did not also hit the truck.

If any court awards this guy money, I may have to move....to outer space. If your kid was drunk/high and driving a car, who do you really think is responsible for him crashing? Is the state liable for building the road and the car dealer liable for selling the guy a car? Was everyone who didn't clear the road for a drunk driver responsible too? How absurd.

If there is a resonable person anywhere near this case, the only thing that stands a chance of ever seeing a courtroom is the suit against the restaurant for over-serving him. But, they would have to prove that they had reason to know he was drunk and was overserved. If others in the restaurant were buying the drinks for him, how would they know how much he had had to drink?

Of course, that's assuming there's a reasonable person involved. I'm surprised an attorney would file a suit against a stranded motorist and a tow truck driver and company because a drunk guy (more than twice the legal limit) with marijuana in the car, talking on the phone and speeding hit them. The world is on a fast track to hell if this gets the family any cash.

He won't sue the Cards or MLB until later. Right now, he wants the praise and possible benefits. Once that well runs dry, he'll add them to the lawsuit.

Instead of suing people, this idiot should be thanking God that his worthless piece of s*** of a son didn't take anyone with him.

And reading this, it sounds like the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Sounds like the Dad is mad because he can't make money off of his son anymore. Also if you are suing that many people why not sue the Cards and MLB. The Cards after all knew this guy had problems and did nothing about them. If you sue MLB you have an easy case, since their track record with Steroids and amphetamines is look the other way. I see nothing, nothing{/Sgt. Schultz}

I think MLB and the cards paid him off all ready so he is not going after the most logical poeple. Hell for suing the tow truck driver and the guy in the stalled car is ridiculas. They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I am assuming this is the lawyer

I think I am going to send him an email to make sure and include the person talking to Hancock on the phone, the cell phone carrier, the rotation of the earth, daylight savings time, etc in the suit

any other ideas?

This whole "he failed as a parent" is a completly and utterly disgusting excuse. You dont know him. You dont know how he was. Plenty of parents do good jobs, but their kids are morons and try stuff. Notice how I said "kids"

Hancock was not a kid

Hancock was 29. He is plenty old enough to make up his old decisions. His decisions were horrible and quite honestly, the world is better off without people like him.
Why? Because he was given a second change. 3 days before, he had a car accident.
Same circumstances.
He used up his 2nd chance. Luckily he didnt kill anyone else. Goodbye jerk.

Anyway, back on subject. You all are young. You know plenty of good fathers with horrible effed up kids when in private.

Blaming his father is cheap and disgusting. Blaming his dad without knowing the actual situation is irresponsible and quite frankly, st-u.

His father "parenting skills" put aside, this is cheap. Stop blaming others for your sons bad decisions.

Tow truck company should sue the father.

Reason: spreading defective genes that directly resulted in the damage to their property.
