Hurley may become a top 10 pitching prospect in baseball with the way he's pitched this year.

He needs to get a call-up to OKC immediately, IMHO.

Yep this guy can really pitch and the Rangers have him.

please tell me why this should make anyone feel any better about the Danks trade? Hurley was a Rangers draft pick, not involved in any trade. I guess you think we should only have one stud pitching prospect in the entire farm system.

I really don't think that was his point SoCal, at least I hope not. I think what he was trying to say in a round bout way is Hurley>>>>Danks. Even though Danks may be a solid 3 or 4 guy Hurley has Ace written on him.

I think that was the point as well. Hurley was viewed as having a higher ceiling than Danks.

Hurley is a great prospect, maybe we can trade him for Wandy Rodriquez, after all TINSTAAPP.

Right?

The trade has nothing to do with Danks. I still don't really get the point.

I just think alot of people were mad at the trade and some of the fans me included got tired of hearing that Danks for McCarthy was a bad trade. I think he was trying to point out that even though we traded Danks and he was our #1 prospect Hurley is a much better prospect and looks like he will become a great pitcher. He may have took a dig at a few people for bringing up the trade but I think he was just trying to be positive about hurley.

Thanks for bringing up TINSTAAPP, because I think Hurley is establishing the fact that he's not just a pitching prospect, he's a PITCHER.

It'll be interesting to see if he gets a call-up this year or if the team tries to delay beginning his major league service time clock until next year. I'm indifferent on that. I think you could bring him to Arlington right now and he'd do just fine, but it might not hurt to let him mow down the Triple-A hitters. On the other hand, with the way he's been manhandling the Texas League (which has some of the best prospects in the game), I'm not sure he has much more to prove at the minor league level.

Yes, I was just trying to show everyone even though the Danks trade may have been bad (only time will tell) we have another blue chipper about to fill his shoes. The cubbard isn't bare sine Danks left.

Volquez is starting to get it together again, and Diamond hopefully can come back strong from his injury.

Of course the rule only applies to make a point that you support.
