I don't know how much of it was TV edited, but Todd Ricketts seemed like a pretty classy guy.

I missed it. Because the football game went late, everything was pushed back and my DVR recorded Amazing Race instead of Undercover Boss.

Ricketts was on local radio today discussing renovations to Wrigley. Planning on keeping wrigley for another 50 years, adding museum, etc.

I think it may be time to put this thread down and start a new one. It's been a nice long run, but I haven't been able to open it in days. I keep getting timed out and I'm sure it's because of how big it is. I know others have had the same problem. So crack open an Old Style, raise a toast, and then come post on the new thread that I am going to start. Maybe that will bring us some luck in 2011.

Same here. I'd never even thought to try. Firefox took 3 times refreshing the page. IE opened up to the bottom on the first try. Resurrection?

-Nobody wants to trade anything for Kosuke, according to multiple sources. Obviously. I keep thinking his contract is up, but apparently it isn't.

-Zambrano did not ask for a trade and the Cubs did not ask him to waive his no-trade clause. They've met with his agent, and a trade never came up.

-Carrie Muskat lists Mark Riggins (minor league pitching coordinator), Lester Strode (bullpen coach), Dennis Lewallyn (AA pitching coach), and Mike Mason (AAA pitching coach) as potential Rothschild replacements.

-I think it was mentioned, but the Cubs were "interested" in Javier Vazquez, but are far from the leader in the bidding.

-The Cubs have joined the A's and Rockies as potential suitors for Lance Berkman.

-The Cubs, who as mentioned on the b**tard 2.0 thread, are after Brandon Webb, have also shown interest in Jeremy Bonderman, Aaron Harang, Kevin Millwood, and Padilla according to ESPN.

-Fox Sports reports that the Cubs are also interested in Carlos Pena at first base.

-Peter Gammons reports the Cubs are one of 8 teams "already in" on setup man Joaquin Benoit.

He's fine. MRI showed nothing wrong.

this is amazing. i couldnt load the thread and didnt know why. then somehow i finally got in. i saw 357 and almost shat myself. very impressive and glad to be a part of it.

You'll notice that Mather has put together an impressive Spring, and by looking around he's been playing at 1st, CF, and RF.

Also weird to see is that there have been a significant # of ABs for a slew of catchers....Soto is being beaten out, only if slightly, by the stats of Castillo, Lilli, and Clevenger. I know it's Spring, but it looks like an impressive race for making the roster as a C. Considering how awful Soto was last season, that "race" could continue into the season, though Soto's big league experience will help him out. If he continues to follow his alternating pattern of useful/useless seasons, he'd be back on a "useful" one this year.
