I can't believe we're not making a move for a bat. We won the 23 Series with pitching depth so I'm ok with the move but I'd like a bat that hits for average and has some pop. Tommy Pham anyone? I know a lot of people don't like him but he's a vet and a professional. I'd take him for Duran straight up. I don't know if anyone would do that though.

The Pirates just shipped Hayes to Cin and they could use a 3B like Duran.

I agree to an extent, but, if Kelly can be tendered a qualifying offer and he turns it down, we get a compensatory pick. Maybe CY sees something in those guys he doesn't like or expect to translate to MLB talent.

These guys were our #13 (Drake), #21 (Bratt), and #27 (Hagaman) ranked prospects. Don't know what level they are at though. Too lazy to look it up.

I'll trust CY. The offense has been coming around. If the offense stalls and it costs us the WC or the division it's all on CY. I still think we needed a bat. Someone to spark this offense.

If we regress to Apr-Jun offensive numbers, we're cooked.

Thanks! pretty steep price. But they are assets whether as players for us or pieces to get players for us.

#5 (Kohl-25), 9 (Bratt-22), and 13 (Hagaman-22)

Last week I included Kohl and Bratt as guys who'd likely get an invite to big league camp and could push to make the team, although highly unlikely.

I like Kohl, although he may be a RuleV guy. Drafted in '22. He recently moved up to AAA. Still has a ways to go, I suppose.

This is where I am. But, the Montgomery trade helped us win the 'ship in 23 so what do I know.

Complaint is that if we were gonna go over the CBT, should've just done it last off season and maybe not in the spot we're in now. Hindsight always 20/20 but I guess Ray Davis could've said "this could be it for me. F it and go for it."
