There was at one time a kids play area near Section 132. You could take a picture in a simulated dugout and run a race against a mechanical base runner. Not sure if it's still there this year or not. It was outside the concourse but before you exit the stadium gates.bobinator said:
Hey gang, I had a question I'm sure this thread gets a lot, but looking for some suggestions to make sure my son has a great time for his first Astros game. He's four, but looking for suggestions on best places to sit, what time to arrive and what there is to do at MMP, etc. He's been to a lot of A&M games, but we haven't gotten him down to Houston yet.
We're going to the day game against the A's on the 28th and just want to see what advice you guys might have.
There are some good photo ops at places along the main concourse. Behind home plate there's a Yordan cutout with a height meter and a framed flag made of baseballs, in Centerfield there's the mural, and at times behind the Crawford Boxes in left field they have some games set up with various prizes. That's also the general area where the Astros Buddies booth is.
In the 300 level just off of the escalator there used to be a VR batting game. Again, not sure it's there this year and the website is little help.
