The Arizona Diamondbacks bring back Randal Grichuk to be their right-handed power bat off the bench and DH. He signs 1-year, $5 million deal. @Feinsand on it.

We could have done that…
No need when we have a lefty DH

I'd play him in left. He started 92 games in the outfield last year.

The Chicago Cubs are acquiring right-handed reliever Ryan Brasier in a trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers, sources tell ESPN. Brasier, 37, was DFA'd last week but should get leverage innings for Chicago.

What's with all the Bregman hate?
I mean look at his splits, he's batted better than 225 every combined March-May except for last year
I don't hate him at all. But I care about the team more than I care about him, and believe he is not worth 6/180 (which seems to be what he is wanting). I don't want the team to sign him for more than 3-4 years and think it should have options in years 3&4. He is a third basemen who has had elbow issues twice now and has missed time due to injuries in recent seasons. His best attribute, his lack of strikeouts and good eye at the plate, seems to have dropped off significantly last year. So I would rather see the team move on without him instead of committing 30M per year going forward.07ag said:n_touch said:Farmer1906 said:The Cubs are believed to have offered Alex Bregman a “creative” four year deal worth around $30 million AAV, according to @MATrueblood. pic.twitter.com/MOI0Fk3LgD
