So Ohtani has had NL MVP wrapped up for some time but in the AL it's Judge or Witt. Who are you taking?

IMHO, it's Witt. His offensive numbers aren't quite as high (except for BA) but he's playing a premier defensive position and the unquestioned heart of the Royals and without him there's no chance they're as improved as they are.

Plus, I don't like Judge for all his BS since 2017 re: the Astros and Altuve.

Judge has gotten so damn good that his outrageously great performances have gotten overlooked. He's in the middle of possible the greatest offensive season, relative to his peers, since 01-04 Bonds. He's my pick even tho I hate him and the damn Yankees.

This isn't any disrespect to Witt. He's absolutely worthy of an MVP most years. Just not this one because of the freak show in NY.

On the flip side, Ohtani vs Lindor is like a poor man's version of Judge vs Witt. 2 weeks ago I may have said Lindor. But he's hurt and Ohtani is going wild. He's probably the pick.
