I was wondering why he hadn't been on the field. This is why:

He's appealing the decision. No specifics on allegations other than potential violation of the sports gambling rules.

Hoberg is only 37 years old yet is one of the absolute best umpires out there.

Everything I post is my ignorant opinion expressed in the emotions of the moment. I don't know jack about anything other than the things I do know about and sometimes even I don't know the difference.

To replace Mr Hoberg in the rotation, we have recalled Angel Hernandez from the retired list.
