So, what we're hearing is that everything that made this Astros dynasty is shot to hell and fully dismantled.

Hopefully, Dana Brown is more than a figurehead and Jim Crane will realize that being Jerry Jones is not a good thing.

the way pitchers were jerked up and down from AA & AAA to the major league roster...

beginning with the Blair Henley start in Arlington in April...

I can see why some of the minor league coaches would have been upset

Haha, the big league team is what matters. The farm is there to service MLB. If those coaches don't get that then we got the wrong ones.

My daughter's a Senior and the captain for her HS softball team here in San Diego that's won 4 straight championships, so she was being interviewed on live local tv with her team this morning. Of course they are all in on the Padres game tonight, but she got called out for being an Astros fan and of course they bring up all the usual trash can comments ... smfh ... She stood strong reppin' for the 'stros though!!! Super proud, but good to know she has been trained well!!

And a lot of times this season guys were called up quickly out of necessity. Literally...We had no one to pitch.

That had a lot to do with having an entire starting rotation in IL for large periods of time.

I think it's less about the pitching and more about the positional players.

Look at the guys who have shot up the organization - Matthews being one. Look at the guys who have gotten a chance on the big club before some other guys. Pedro Leon didn't get a shot until the guy that got called up above him got hurt, then, when that guy was ultimately traded, two other guys were brought up instead of him. Then, two other guys were signed as DFA instead of him getting an extended shot.

I'm not saying I'm for or against any of those moves, but when I hear they are upset with player movements, the position players are the guys I think about more than the pitchers. Minor league staff certainly understand the injuries the pitching rotation went through and the up and downs regarding the pitching staff happen for every team each year when there are those types of injuries.

There is no doubt in my mind some of the minor league managers and staff think Leon deserves an actual shot. There is no doubt in my mind some of the minor league managers and staff don't think Matthews should have been moved as quickly up through the organization as he has.
