I was told the players weren't so cool with his long anti-Astro twitter rants. When subbing for another writer one game, he was confronted by a player (I really don't know who) in the clubhouse and went deer in the headlights.

Whoever the Astros media liason person was witnessed it, asked the player about it, got confirmation from several other players, and that's all she wrote.

Would like to see Royals over Yankees to showcase that Witt should be the clear cut AL MVP even though we all know the media is on Judge's jock 24/7.

Be like the year they gave it to Robinson over Hakeem, or basically every year anyone but Jordan won it and then he whipped them in the Finals - Malone, Barkley.

It doesn't seem that clear cut to me. Judge has a higher slugging %, higher OBP, higher OPS, more RBIs, way more HRs, higher WAR. Witt has a higher batting average

Didn't just have a higher average, he led the majors in average.
More doubles (2nd in the majors)
More triples (3rd in the majors )
Finished 18 total bases behind Judge, who hit 58 HR to Witt's 32.
Struck out 65 fewer times in 77 more plate appearance .than Judge
Stole more bases (31 for a 30-30 season).
Finished 6th in the majors in fielding percentage at the toughest position
Finished 6th in the majors in double plays turned

Take away Judge and the Yankees are still in the playoffs. Take away Witt and the Royals aren't even close.

So, I am with you until the end. While I hate on Judge for getting to hit to that short porch and power alley in RF with that jet stream in RF, I am not so sure they make the playoffs without him.

The first team out was Seattle 9 games back. Replace Judge with Jake Meyers. I'll wager that Judge is worth those 9 games over Jake. The Yankees certainly dont finish in 1st over Baltimore.

His response was eerily similar to when JIm Halpert puts Andy Bernard's stapler in Jello. VERY LOUD VERY QUICKLY demanding to know who had put it there.
