Ok, look, I'm going to level with you. I'd like them to work counts and get pitch counts up. That's my preference. But at least I understand the theory of what they're doing.
And as far as the research I've done, it's about half and half the teams in the post season who swing earlier in the AB. So, the Astros are not alone.
You have a shtick too - and that shtick is to continue to post while it's negative while beating the same drum Quite often it comes off as you're almost hoping they lose so you're right. Your postmortem post being an example.
So, yeah, I'm being passive aggressive while asking you if they should swing at first pitch fastballs down the middle of the plate because if those resulted in outs, you'd be banging the same drum even though it's a damn fastball down the middle.
