Dubon swung at two strikes. If he takes, he's 0-2. Not sure what else you wanted him to do. Meyers took a ball, then put a good swing on a strike. Altuve was the one that could have shown more patience.

I checked this stat last month and the Astros were on track to see the fewest pitches per at-bat of any team in baseball since at least 2008 (I think). They might have upped their game since then.

That's actually the game plan against him. His changeup is impossible with a two strike count so you need to hit him early.

Blame it on the headcase who cannot compose himself to throw more than 5 innings. This clearly wasn't the plan.

Or on the first two months of "baseball" we played. Would certainly like to be where CLE is now.

I think I heard on a broadcast recently that we saw over 2k less pitches this season than Milwaukee.
