Edit: I cannot imagine the Tigers throwing Skubal tomorrow...they are in, and will want him for game 1 Tuesday (against the Orioles, hopefully!)

And by last day you mean Monday. The Mets and Braves will have wiped out staffs before the playoffs even start.
Verlander might not be in the rotation, but he will 100% be part of the roster, and at least come out of the pen.
I'd have Verlander on the rotation for relief in case somebody gets lit up early
